-- Hooker Furniture has
reorganized its upholstery companies, Bradington-Young and Sam Moore,
under the leadership of
Alan Cole
, who has been named president and CEO of Hooker Furniture Upholstery.
Cole
shifts from executive vice president of upholstery operations to president
of Bradington-Young, a leather recliner specialist, and Sam Moore, which
makes accent chairs. Cole will direct the management teams for both
companies, but they will continue to operate separately with individual
sales forces.

and Sam Moore are well known and well respected companies and they have
great strategic and long term importance to the future of Hooker
Furniture,” said Paul Toms, Hooker’s chairman and CEO. “Each
upholstery company serves distinct and unique niches and needs to maintain
its emphasis on its target customers and specialized product lines. Under
Alan’s leadership, each team will focus on market share growth and
opportunities for product expansion in its areas of expertise.”
Cole

Before
joining Hooker, Cole was president and CEO of full-line manufacturer
Schnadig from 2004 to 2006, and previously held senior positions with
Berkline and Lifestyle Furnishings International. He is based at Sam
